It is the brain-child of Mr.N.Raghavendra Murthy, an artist who is also a writer, poet, architect, agriculturist and a businessman. he has spent 16 long years of his time treasure and talent in created a dense like veritable forest in several acres of agricultural land. his artistic instinct and innovative thinking have found a profound and unique expression in this garden.
'Chitravana' is a holiday resort with a difference . It is a heaven of peace and tranquility. The garden strives to bring down the vast unpredictability of nature itself into ten acres of land with complete representation of hills, water and open space.
'Chitravana' is a natural asymmetrical garden which does not follow any geometrical pattern. There is unlimited growth of plant and trees. nature, here is worshipped as a deity, wooed and loved as a companion. Nature is allowed to freely express itself in myriad ways.
Here the dominant colour is green. Passing through the garden one can discern different shades of green. But once a while, a bright red or yellow flower may suddenly pop-up to surprise you!
A visitor entering the portals of 'Chitravana' is greeted by the 'musical notes' emanating from water-falls. As he moves up the winding paths into the womb of the jungle, the scene gradually shifts and unfolds itself leading to enchanting places and wonderful spots.
In this garden where geometrical patterns or designs are deemed as unwanted interference in the natural scheme of things, the shape and colour of the materials used and architectural designs, harmoniously blend with nature's own creations.
