The Gilded Pelmets and Wrought Iron Railings which run across the 1st Floor Balcaos and Verandahs Sport the Family Insignia or Brazao of Francis D�Assis Silveira.
Diligent Restoration Preserve the External Facade and Retain the Distinctiveness and Intrinsic Elegance of the Building. While making Alterations Care has been Exercised to Conserve and Strengthen the 90cm. Thick, Mud. Clay and Lateritic Stonewalls which make for the basic structure. The Massive Burmah Teak Beams and Rafters have been Treated to Protect them from Termites and White Ants.
There are 24 Bedrooms,12 in the old house and another 12 in the Rebuilt section facing Rua de Ourem,with Modern Facilities Including Air-conditioning ,Mini-Fridge,Cable Television
on the Premises. Each is Quite Individual in Character, Four Poster Beds,
